North Wootton village is an ancient woodland settlement lying below the Mendip Hills looking across the Somerset levels to Glastonbury Tor.
The hall sits nestled between the 14th century parish church of St. Peter's, it's graveyard and wildlife garden and faces its idyllic village green, with apple trees and gentle views.
With the River Redlake and the famous Monarch's Way hiking trail meandering through it, it really is a lovely place to stop and visit, for a day, an afternoon or even stay awhile and enjoy our beautiful village.
Originally built as a Church Room, and opened in 1906, it was leased to the village in 1963, and since then has been run by a committee who raise funds to maintain it and organising many village events, such as, quiz evenings, talks, Harvest Home lunch and competitions, Easter egg hunts, Christmas gatherings and New Year bonfire and fireworks. These events encourage a strong community spirit in the village, all of which we welcome you to join in.
